I have over 15 years experience working with busy families, just like yours, helping them understand how to use their living spaces better so they can have a more functional and comfortable Home that works for their family. My design motto has always been "Function First,Style Second".
That means your home must work properly for how you live before we spend money on making it pretty. After all, it's YOUR home, not mine, so it needs to make your every day living easy while reflecting your personal style too!
It all began with pizza!
Friday night is pizza night in our family, and it was during those deliveries that the Pizza Man would compliment me on how nicely my first home was painted and decorated!
That was when I took the leap of faith to return to school to turn my design hobby into a business, instead of returning to the corporate world, and be home to raise my 2 children too.
I received my Interior Decorating designation, with Honours, from Georgian College and completed my Home Staging designation a few years after that.
It was during a class at Georgian College, I had to explain why I wanted to be a designer. My answer?
To give ”real people real-life" solutions to help them live better in their homes that won't break their budget because everyone deserves a safe and comfortable home and money shouldn’t get in the way of that”. My Instructor told me that "I had a clear vision and passion about helping people and that is what Interior Design is all about”.
That passion to help families live better in their homes is still as strong today as it was all those years ago!
